SOS platform in Kinshasa

The Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the world's poorest countries.
Through the years of crisis, many people moved en masse to the capital Kinshasa in the hope of a better life to build. Poverty has risen dramatically since then, and families are increasingly less able to care for their children.
Kinshasa also has a high number of children that are on your own and have to survive on the streets.

What does SOS along with the support of the Bana & Co shoes brand ?

In consultation with the Congolese government's SOS Children's Villages in 2004 with the preparation of an SOS platform was launched in Kinshasa.

This platform will be a children's village, a kindergarten and an elementary school included, and a medical center and a family strengthening program. The schools and the socio-medical center will be accessible to children and families from the neighborhood.
The platform was normal in 2010 to be active, but the unstable political situation and the bureaucratic state apparatus works were delayed.
